CHIP TUNING / SUPERCHIP AND ECU'S

Chip tuning is the ultimate way to get the most from your car, enabling better driveability without having to modify the engine. Our Superchip car ECU monitors and controls the ignition timing and fuelling in order to optimise the performance of your car, giving Normally Aspirated (NASP) engines up to 10% more power and Turbocharged engines up to 25% more power. The costs for these gains are £250.00 + VAT for a NASP engine and £435.00 + VAT for a Turbo-charged engine.

Chip tuning resolutely improves the performance of a car’s engine in terms of both performance and power, particularly the response at the lower end of the rev counter, meaning that torque will be greatly increased. This is very good for driving in mountain areas or when towing a trailer or a caravan. Chip tuning also results in much lower fuel consumption. Chip tuning is possible for both petrol injection and turbo diesel engines. The advantage of altering an engine by chip tuning is that the life expectancy of the engine is not influenced and the work is not visible from the outside of the car.

Dastek - Unichip Car ECU

The Unichip car ecu is an upgrade for improving fuel consumption and ignition timing. For a car with modifications, be it different cams, hybrid turbocharger or just the "Bolt-on's" air induction kit, intercooler, etc., these are the engine upgrades for you. The Unichip is a programmable chip that rides piggyback to the standard car ECU. By being able to adjust both the fuelling and the ignition this allows us to develop a specialised map for your vehicle and its modifications.

The Unichip is even able to control certain modifications such as aqua-mist or nitrous, and the boost on turbocharged vehicles. Another plus for the Unichip is that it is not car specific. Should you sell your vehicle then we can remove the Unichip & 8 out of 10 times the chip will fit another car. All that may be necessary would be to get it remapped. Unichip car e cu prices are £420.00 + VAT for NASP vehicles and £560.00 + VAT for turbocharged cars.

ECU Upgrades

There are some vehicles that have been modified so much that the Unichip would not be up to the job; you could be looking for something extra for track days or rallying. For this, we offer a range of ECU upgrades from MBE, Omex, MoTeC, etc.
